The Land Commission will operate a one-stop-shop verification system from October 1, 2021

AG. Executive Secretary of the Lands Commission, James EK Dadson

The Land Commission says it will have a one-stop-shop verification system from October 2021 for all searches carried out at the commission.

Currently, there is a need to verify and conduct research in Public and Vested Lands Management Division Research, Land Registration Division Research, Surveying and Mapping Division Research and Land Valuation Division Research.

This system has been described by many as heavy.

In a statement, the Land Commission noted “that this is to ensure that a Land Commission research report on a parcel of land provides complete information relating to that parcel in a single report instead of three separate reports ”.

The statement further advised the public to visit the Land Commission website from October 1, 2021, for step-by-step guidance on online research reports and fees to pay for consolidated research.

PRESS RELEASE

SEPTEMBER 23, 2021

CONSOLIDATED RESEARCH

The public is informed that as of October 1, 2021, the Greater Accra Region Land Commission will no longer publish separate research reports from its divisions (i.e. Public and Acquired Land Management Division (PVLMD), Land Registration Division (LRD) & Survey & Mapping Division (SMD).

The files of these divisions will be consolidated in a single search report of the Land Commission.

This is to ensure that a Land Commission research report on a plot of land provides complete information about that plot in one report instead of three separate reports.

Additionally, from October 1, 2021, all research requests must be submitted online through https://onlineservices.lc.gov.gh. However, clients who visit the Land Commission’s Customer Service Access Unit (CSAU) will be assisted in submitting applications online.

The public is advised to visit the Land Commission website (https://www.lc.gov.gh/services) from October 1, 2021 for step-by-step guidance on the submission and payment process in online, how to track their online requests, how to access online research reports, and what fees to pay for consolidated research.
