Search begins for new director of Clarksville-Montgomery County schools

Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS)Montgomery County, Tennessee – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) school board will employ a new principal of schools. A key part of this process is giving everyone the opportunity to have their voices heard.

In December 2021, the CMCSS school board asked the Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) to help find a principal. The jury asked the TSBA to help establish the criteria for evaluating the candidates.

TSBA Executive Director Dr Tammy Grissom will lead a forum designed to determine views on the issues and challenges facing our school system and the principal of schools.

A community forum is scheduled for January 25, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Council Chamber, Central Services Gracey (621 Gracey Avenue).

For those who cannot attend or wish to provide their feedback in written form, TSBA has created an online form for the community. Please click here to access the online feedback form.

We urge everyone to take the time to let us know what leadership skills will be needed to effectively serve students in Clarksville-Montgomery County. Your comments will help us determine the criteria to use in selecting our new school principal.

The selection of our next school principal is very important to all of us, and we count on your help in this decision.
