VIDEO OF THE DAY

Resuming with the Marvel hero following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Thor: Love and Thunder finds Thor on an unprecedented journey – a quest for inner peace. But his retreat is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the Butcher God, who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg, and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magic hammer, Mjolnir, as Mighty Thor. Together they embark on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s revenge and stop him before it’s too late.

Thor: Love and Thunder Will introduce Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher and Natalie Portman as The Mighty Thor

Not only will Thor: Love and Thunder find the titular MCU character going on a journey of self-discovery, the film will also introduce an all-new villain, who may be the biggest threat Thor has ever faced, and bring back a face from Thor’s past. Oscar winner and The black Knight Star Christian Bale will make his MCU debut as the villainous Gorr the God Butcher, an all-powerful alien in a vendetta of revenge against the gods.

If that wasn’t enough for Thor, Thor: Love and Thunder will also see Natalie Portman reprise the role of Jane Foster. This time with a superhero twist. Cancer-stricken astrophysicist and ex-girlfriend of Thor, Jane Foster, visited New Asgard and her life changed forever. Mysteriously, the shattered pieces of Mjolnir, the thunder god’s hammer, transform her into Mighty Thor and imbue her with Thor’s superpowers. Battling internal and external threats, Thor and The Mighty Thor must band together to end Gorr the Butcher God’s brutal revenge.

Directed by Taika Waititi, who co-wrote the screenplay alongside Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale and Jaimie Alexander. The film will also feature an appearance from the Guardians of the Galaxy, once again portrayed by Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on July 8, 2022, as part of the MCU’s Phase Four. This last Thor The release is just one of many major projects in the Marvel pipeline, with studio president Kevin Feige revealing that they are currently planning the franchise’s next decade.
