Lily Brickman of Fort Kent, Maine has been named a finalist for the Emerging Leaders in Nutrition Science Abstract Recognition Award Program in Community and Public Health Nutrition, an American Society for Nutrition (ASN) program that recognizes research of the highest presented by students and young researchers at NUTRITION 2022 LIVE ONLINE.
Over 700 abstracts were submitted by students and postdoctoral fellows and the Emerging Leaders in Nutritional Science Abstract Recognition Program aims to recognize the top 15% of abstracts. Abstracts were reviewed by over 400 nutrition scientists.
Finalists will be recognized at NUTRITION 2022 LIVE ONLINE, the American Society for Nutrition’s annual scientific event to be held virtually June 14-16.
Brickman received his BS from UMaine in Food Science and Human Nutrition in 2021 and is currently a Dietetics Intern in the MS in Food Science and Human Nutrition program advised by Professor Mary Ellen Camire. Her abstract for NUTRITION 2022 LIVE ONLINE is titled “Identifying Cofactors Contributing to Food Insecurity in Maine Elderly Living at Home,” based on her 2021 Honors College dissertation.
