Delaware County Workforce Development and PA CareerLink® Partners to Host PA CareerLink Day in Chester City and Media on August 12

Delaware County job seekers and employers invited to connect!

The Delaware County Workforce Development Board (DCWDB) and PA CareerLink® Partners will host an open house to help job seekers and employers connect to programs, training opportunities and more on Thursday, August 12, 10 a.m. at 2 p.m. at the Delaware PA CareerLink County offices in Chester City and Media.

Delaware County employers, PA CareerLink® Partners and Workforce Development Program providers will be set up exposure tables to allow interaction with job seekers / participants potentials to the program. Job search activities, including resume reviews and mock interviews, will be offered at each exhibit table. Actual job interviews may take place during the event, at the employer’s discretion.

Job seekers are encouraged to attend; registration is not compulsory. Masks are mandatory for all participants and social distancing will be respected.

For unemployed or underemployed job seekers who wish to change fields, tuition assistance is available for vocational training in a variety of high-demand sectors including transportation, healthcare and manufacturing. The DCWDB also works with employers to help them find qualified candidates. Free job postings, aimed at job seekers, career fairs, and targeted recruiting services, are available for Delaware County employers.
